All Things Ellie

52 blog posts ago I posted my 'Welcome to Elzita' blog post one year ago which is crazy to think because its gone so fast. One year ago I had no idea what Bloglovin' even was.

I am happy that I started my blog because I've talked to people I wouldn't of ever spoken to and it's so nice to see people following, commenting and even reading my blog posts even though it's not about the numbers. I still can't believe I even got 10 followers and now there are 88+ people following my blog which makes me so happy! (so close to 100!)

I thought I would just write this post to say that I am so thankful to anyone who even bothers to click on my blog.

For this weeks post I am going to show you my January Favourites. These favourites are for both December and January as I didn't do a December Favourites. I think I'm going to do favourites every other month as I don't really have many favourites each month, however today I have quite a few to show you.

My first favourite is my Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette this palette is beautiful and I have been using it so much this month. I will be doing a review on this palette soon so I'm not going to talk about it too much but the colours are so pigmented and they smell amazing!

Next is the Urban Decay Naked Basics Eye Shadow Palette. This is such a nice eye shadow palette if you like natural colours and defiantly if you like mattes. The colours are also really pigmented. (REVIEW)

Mac Lipstick In Velvet Teddy. This lipstick is one of the most popular lipstick in Mac and I can defiantly see why because its beautiful. It is a gorgeous brown toned nude lipstick and I love it.

Next is Kylie Cosmetics Exposed Liquid Lipstick. I love this because it is a stunning peachy colour and it has amazing staying power.

A drugstore lipstick that I have been enjoying is the Rimmel 03 Lipstick. This is so beautiful, the colour is a peachy nude which I love at the moment, this is a lovely lipstick overall.

My last makeup favourite is my Rose gold Brushes. I have been loving these recently because they are so soft and they look beautiful. They cam in a set of 12 and I love them all a lot.

I have been loving three scents this month the first being the Zoella Sweet Inspirations Body Mist this smells amazing! It is quite sweet but I think it is so lovely, it smells like marshmallows but its not sickly sweet.

My second scent I have been liking is a Jack Wills Body Spray I got this in a set with two other scents but this has defiantly been the one I love the most. It smells really fresh and I love it.

And lastly is Victoria Secret Spray in Love Spell this is quite fruity and I think I'm going to wear it so much in the Summer.

My first more random favourite was Joe and Caspar Hit the Road this film was so funny and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend you to watch it if you want something to laugh at.

Next is Girl Online by Zoe Sugg. I really enjoyed this book because the story line was so amazing. I have read all of Zoe's books and they are some of my all time favourites. (REVIEW)

Another book is Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon. This book was incredible I loved it so much. It is basically about a girl called Maddy who has a illness so she can't go outside and it shows you how she deals with it when she falls in love with a boy called Olly.

Gabbie Lindley I feel like I talk about her quite a lot but I love her videos. She seems so nice and genuine and all her videos are incredible. I also love her covers and I think her voice is amazing!

Snapseed. I love Snapseed this app is amazing for editing pictures. The tool that I am obsessed with is the Selective tool as it makes a massive difference I your pictures.

Lastly is Little Mix Glory Days album. I love this. I think all the songs are so catchy but my favourite along side 'Shout Out To My Ex' has to be 'Touch' I just love that song its so good. I would highly recommended this album.

So those are my favourites. What have you been loving recently?

For this weeks post I wanted to share with you why I enjoy blogging. I haven't been blogging for that long (a year in 8 days) but this is something that I have done and want to carry on doing. When I was younger I used to do something and carry it on for 6 months and then not find time to do them and give up, but with blogging even if I have had a busy week its not something that I don't want to do. Of course some weeks I lack in ideas but I go and look for blog post ideas from my favourite blogs and google. Anyway this is why I love to blog:

Blogging has helped me improve in a few ways such as my writing. If you go back and read some of my first blog posts you will notice how much my writing has improved another thing that has improved are photos. Before I was putting on unedited that were not even good photos and now I am so much happier with my photos, they are defiantly not amazing but they are defiantly better from what the used to be.

Another thing I love is when people leave lovely comments. If I have seen someone leave a nice comment I makes me so happy, I try my best to reply to all my comments on my blog. Also whenever I gain a follower it makes me so happy that people enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it. It also make me so happy that this blog is so close to 100 followers!

Next thing is interacting with other bloggers. Even though the internet is a really dangerous place there are some lovely people out there. I love seeing other bloggers chatting away on group chats that I am in.

Lastly I think its so fun to just talk about a topic and your not just talking to one person, your talking to many people who might want to find out about a beauty product or anything really.

So that is why I enjoy blogging. I really enjoyed writing this post and it's nice to just ramble about something that I love to do.

Today, I am going to be reviewing the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. I got this palette a couple of months ago for my birthday and I love it! This palette is perfect for travel and I think the packaging is really nice.

In this palette there are six shades - a demi-matte shade called Venus which is a champagne-y colour. And five matte shades, Foxy a yellow toned colour, W.O.S a pink-y white, Naked 2 a light brown, Faint a dark brown and Crave which is a black.

The shades are really pigmented and because they are all browns they are really wearable and I love them.

This palette is expensive but I think it's so worth it if your thinking to buy it as the colours are amazing and its such a good travel size.

What Naked palette is your favourite?

For this weeks post I thought I would share with you My Favourite Lip Products from 2016. All of these lip products are nudes because they are my favourite colours to wear. I have mostly drugstore lip products but there are a few Higher End lipsticks as well.

My first lipstick is my Mac lipstick in Velvet Teddy. So many people were speaking about this and it was defiantly one of the most popular Mac lipsticks of 2016. It is a brown toned nude but it isn't as brown toned as people say it is.

Next is my Kylie Jenner Liquid Lipsticks. My favourites were Exposed a light pink-y nude and Candy K which is a little more pink that Exposed but not as pink as Koko K. These are so pretty and I really like them.

Left to Right - Rimmel 03, Rimmel 077, Tanya Burr Pink Cocoa, Nyx Abu Dhabi, Nyx Cannes, Kylie Jenner Candy K, Kylie Jenner Exposed, Mac Velvet Teddy

Nyx. Nyx is now one of my favourite Drugstore brands because all there products are amazing. I have two Soft Matte Lip Creams but I would definitely like to get more. I have the colours Cannes and Abu Dhabi. I have done a review on these so you can go read that for a more in-depth review.

The next product is from Tanya Burr. I have loved and tried a few of her products and this is one I love. This is in the colour Pink Cocoa and it's beautiful! I have done a review on this also which you can read here.

The last two products are from Rimmel. I have 007 and O3, I loved 007 at the start of the year and I really want to use it more often as I don't use it as much anymore as it's quite pink toned, but I love it anyway. And 03 is a lovely peachy nude.

So that is my favourite lip products of 2016, let me know what your favourites were throughout 2016.

Happy New Year! I can't believe it's already 2017, I feel like 2016 went so fast. As it's a new year I thought I would share with you my '2017 Blogging Goals'.

My first goal for 2017 is to post more often. I would like to post once a week at least through out 2017 and I really want to post every Tuesday.

Another goal is to improve my blog pictures. In my last two posts I have been really happy with the photos I have taken and I really want to carry on being happy with them. I also want to use more blog props in my photos and add more texture to my pictures.

Thirdly is to use my blog social medias more such as posting more on Instagram and Twitter as I barely post on them.

Following on from the last one I want to get involved in blogging Twitter chats because I think it's a good way to find other peoples blogs and is also a great way to promote your own.

So that's my blogging goals for 2017. Let me know what yours in the comments. Also it's so close to 1 year since I've had my blog!
