For Christmas Benefit brought out a range of gift sets and one of my friends got me the Hello FrancisGLOW set for my birthday. As you can tell by the 'glow' in the name this is a highlighter set.

The packaging for this is so pretty with the pink and yellow skyline effect at the top and the pattern that is on the inside and around the sides. Inside the set you get four of the Benefit best sellers which includes one powder, one cream and two liquid. It also has a mini brush that comes with most of the powder products. However the powder is stuck into the set which means you can't travel with it without taking the whole set.

The first highlight is the Dandelion Twinkle highlighter. This has recently been added to the permanent-collection along with Shy Beam which is also included in this. Dandelion Twinkle is a light beige coloured highlight and the powder of the set. It is quite a subtle highlight but once you build it up it does give a beautiful glow. As I mentioned before there is Dandelion Shy Beam, this is a very natural highlight. I would say this would be nice if you don't like a shimmery highlight and want to look glowy. The next liquid highlight in this set is High Beam, which is defiantly one of the most popular highlighters from Benefit. This is a really pretty pearly pink colour and even though I prefer more gold coloured ones this is stunning and looks super nice on your cheek bones. Lastly is the Watt's Up! highlighter, this is the cream of the set which I actually really like. It is a similar colour to Dandelion Twinkle which I love and blends out really nicely.

Overall I think this set is so good and I really like all the products included. Have you tried any Benefit highlighters?

 

A few weeks ago SophDoesNails released a eye shadow palette with Makeup Revolution. Sophie is one of my favourite YouTubers and I knew that this palette would be incredible. The packaging is watercolour with bits of copper on which looks really pretty. The actual palette is a nude colour with copper writing on. In this palette you get 24 eye shadow colours, 13 mattes and 11 shimmers, which I think is amazing considering this palette is only £10. She also brought out a highlighter palette for £8 alongside this which I think looks gorgeous as well.

When you open this palette there is a big mirror which is really good because I tend to use the mirrors in palettes a lot. And a clear sheet with all the names on, I really like the names in this palette because they do describe the colour and they are all things she likes. These eye shadows are really pigmented and blend really nicely. The colours go with one another and this palette covers a lot of eye shadow looks. I think this palette would be amazing if you were starting out with makeup because of the range of colours and I would defiantly recommend it.

I think this palette overall is incredible especially for its price, the colours are beautiful and there are colours for everyone. Have you tried this palette?

Recently there has been a 3 for 2 deal on at Superdrug so I thought I would pick some things up and so a first impressions of them.

The first thing I picked up is the Collection Speedy Highlighter. I have wanted to try a stick highlighter for a while now and when I swatched it in Superdrug it looked really pretty. It is a pink-y champagne colour and has a lovely sheen to it and also it is very buildable, you could have a natural glow or more of a blinding highlight.

Next I got the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer. This concealer is one of the things I have wanted to try for ages. Unlike the Collection Lasting Perfection in 2 which is quite pink toned this one is more yellow toned which I really like. This has really good coverage and blends really easily.


Lastly is the Freedom Duo Brow Powder in Medium Brown. I think this is really good! The two shades both work really well for my brows. You can blend out any of the harsh lines really easily if you don't want the line under brow and you can build the powders easily. And for £3 this is amazing.


Overall I really like all of these products I have picked recently, especially the concealer. Do you like any of these products?

After Pretty Little Liars ending I thought I would share with you my thoughts on the whole story line. In the finale you were obviously going to find out who AD was and it defiantly revealed other sad and happy things.

Before I watched the episode I thought that it was Caleb but I also seen lots of theories about Wren and Spencer's evil twin. If it was Wren I would have been really disappointed as if it were Melissa.

The episode started with the girls talking and Lucas tap dancing and Jenna riding a horse which I'm not really sure what the point of it was. It then goes on to a year later; Emily and Alison had had their babies which I thought was really cute however it didn't really surprise me that they had twins.

When they throw the little friend gathering for Ezra and Aria's marriage when Mona turned around with a mask of Melissa on I was a bit disappointed but I'm glad it was Mona and Melissa wasn't part of the 'A Team'. Ali proposing to Emily was really cute and something I did not expect.

I think the scene when Spencer gets taken to AD's layer was a really good scene and the whole twin reveal was a good idea too. I think the idea of Spencer having a twin was quite predictable though. When Alex started telling Spencer the reason why she was AD it did confuse me because CeCe was horrible to Spencer but Mona killed CeCe but she was punishing the girl but I thought she wanted to punish CeCe's murderer. Also the accent that Alex had was awful and was actually making me laugh at how cringy it was.

I think the end scences were the best starting with Toby guessing which was Spencer was a good scene even though I had no idea which was which. It then goes on to Aria and Ezra's wedding which was really sweet and adding Marlene was nice as it was the last episode. The scene when the girls were hugging and crying was a sweet scene and adding in that Hanna was pregnant. It then went on to Mona who was keeping Alex and Mary as dolls which I was really glad about. The last scene was a copy of the first episode but with new girls and Addison going missing which I'm a bit confused about but I liked that they went back to the first episode.

I think the PLL episode was good and I did like the idea but I think if AD had been someone we knew really well it would have been better.

Today, I am going to be reviewing the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. I got this palette a couple of months ago for my birthday and I love it! This palette is perfect for travel and I think the packaging is really nice.

In this palette there are six shades - a demi-matte shade called Venus which is a champagne-y colour. And five matte shades, Foxy a yellow toned colour, W.O.S a pink-y white, Naked 2 a light brown, Faint a dark brown and Crave which is a black.

The shades are really pigmented and because they are all browns they are really wearable and I love them.

This palette is expensive but I think it's so worth it if your thinking to buy it as the colours are amazing and its such a good travel size.
