All Things Ellie

I’ve seen the YouTube Made Me Buy It videos and blog posts going around the internet for a while now and I realised how much things I have bought from YouTube, so I thought I would share with you those things.

Mac Velvet Teddy – This lipstick is one of the most popular Mac lipsticks and has been mentioned a lot, I thought it was a beautiful brown nude and I also love mattes. My mum got me it for Christmas and I love it.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – This is a lot of peoples favourite concealer and for that reason I tried it out. I do really like this concealer but with a beauty blender I have found it harder to blend than something like Rimmel Wake Me Up however I do really love this concealer and has been one have been using a lot recently.

Collection Velvet Kiss in Caramel – I haven’t seen this that much around YouTube but I saw a full face of Collection Makeup that Olivia Grace done and I saw this product. I think it is a great product but it is a lot like the NYX ones especially the packaging.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette – I have seen this quite a lot on YouTube and I’m so glad I did because it is now one of my favourite eye shadow palettes. The packaging is really cute and original and you get 18 really pigmented gorgeous eye shadow shades. This is amazing!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams – One of my favourite lip products are the NYX lip creams, mainly because of Abu Dhabi which is a nude brown. I also I have two other shades, Cannes and London. These have a lovely formula that is matte but doesn’t dry your lips and they have a wide shade range.

Tanya Burr Products – I would defiantly not have these products if it wasn’t for YouTube. Tanya Burr’s products I think are really good. The eye shadows have good pigmentation and so do the lip products. The packaging for her products are really pretty and looks so nice.

Maybelline Lash Sensational – This I my favourite mascara because of YouTube, it gives so much to them and makes them look amazing.

Zoella Beauty & Lifestyle Products – Another I would defiantly not have is Zoe’s Products. I love her ranges, I think her beauty things smell and are amazing and her lifestyle things are also really good.

Over the past couple of weeks I have bought a few things, so today I thought I would show you those things.

New Look

The first thing I got was this baby blue jumper from New Look. This has two stripes on each arm which just adds to make it less plain. It is also really fluffy on the inside which I love.

JD Sports

A few weeks ago I went on a trip with school and for that trip I got some shorts from LA Gear. I got one of them in black and another one in a light grey. They are simple so they will go with a lot of things and are also really comfortable.

I also got this Adidas top which I have worn quite a bit since I bought it. This has the three stripes on the arms and it is in a football top kind of material. I got mine in a navy blue colour.

The last thing I got from JD is a Slazenger swimming costume. This is black with pink lining. The back of it is low however it isn't a hole.

Select

From Select I got some Girlfriend Jeans, Girlfriend Jeans are basically Mum Jeans but a bit tighter. I got these ones with a few rips on and there are flowers on the leg. I think these look really nice especially with the bottom rolled up a little.

I got a black playsuit which has a flower on it. I think this looks really pretty and will look really nice on holiday.

Boots

For makeup I picked up the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I got this a few weeks ago but I got it in the wrong shade so I went back and got a lighter shade. So far I think this concealer is really good.

Also from Boots I got a MUA Liquid Lipstick in NXN. This is a pretty nude pink colour, I have wanted to try these out for a little while so I decided to get this nude one.

As March is now over I'm going to be doing a post on my favourite things during March.

Beauty
My first favourite is a foundation. It's the L'Oréal Infallible Foundation. This is really good because it is a medium coverage which I really like, also it lasts a long time which it should because it says it lasts 24 hours.

Another beauty favourite I have been liking is a Buxom lipgloss in White Russian. I never normally like lipgloss because it can be quite sticky however this one isn't. This is a light pink colour which only adds a little bit of pink and I think it is really pretty! What I really like about this is it feels as though it isn't going to come off but it doesn't feel sticky. Also when you apply this to your lips it tingles slightly which feels really lovely on your lips and it nis really moisturising as well.

Fashion
Recently I have been wearing these ripped jeans from Primark, that I have been loving recently. They are so comfy and I think they look nice on. Also these were only £10 which I think they're so good for what they are.

Music
This month I have been loving Ed Sheeran's Divide Album. I think this is the only album where I like all of the songs. I love that there are the upbeat ones like Shape Of You, Galway Girl, New Man, Barcelona and there are also the slower songs like Happier, Perfect, Hearts Don't Break Around Here, Supermarket Flowers. I think they are all amazing!

TV
About a year ago I started watching The Vampire Diaries and got to Season 2 but then I stopped and in February i started watching it again. Throughout March I have been obsessed with it, so you should definitely watch it. I am on season 5 so no spoilers!

YouTube
At the moment my favourite YouTubers have been the SacconeJoly's. I have been subscribed to them for quite a while and then only recently started watching them again when they were about to have there new baby, Alessia. I think they are amazing YouTubers and I have been watching there vlogs everyday (instead of adding them to my Watch Later).

That was my favourites for the month, March. Let me know what your favourites were in to comments.

Today's post is going to be a Bold Makeup Look. This is defiantly different to what I would normally wear but I think it turned out to be really pretty.

Also today's post is a collaboration with Anna of Me And My Beauty Blog who is a really good blogger.

First, I'm using the L'Oréal Infallible Foundation. I love this because it has an really good coverage for me, looks nice and lasts a really long time. Next I am using Rimmel Stay Matte to set my makeup in place. For my contour I am using Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit which I think is really good. For a little bit of blush I am using the Boujour blush in Rose Pompon. And finally for highlight I am using Seventeen Pink Bronze Brick Highlighter, this is beautiful!

For my eyes to make a bold look I'm going to use my Sephora Sunbleached filter palette and I'm going to use the shade Sandy Toes all over the lid and then a little bit of #tbt in the crease and finally I'm going to apply a bit of #tbt to my lower lash line. You could also add winged eyeliner to it as well which would look really pretty. And then I'm using Maybelline Lash Sentational on my lashes, this is my favourite mascara, it's amazing. Also if you want to you could add some lashes, I think the Ardell ones are really pretty.

And for the lips I am going to use a nude because the eyes are bold. So I'm going to use Mac Velvet Teddy with is a beautiful nude shade.

So that is what I would do if I were to do a Bold Makeup Look. Make sure you read Anna's post.

Today I'm going to share my blog photography tips even though my pictures are far from perfect, I thought I would do this post for people that might be just starting a blog because I wish I had this advice.

Background - You don't need to buy a super expensive background for your backgrounds to look nice. I printed the one I use from Google. I think wood and marble backgrounds look really nice but you could also just use a piece of paper or white bed covers for a white background.

Props - You can use all sorts of props in your pictures my favourites are makeup, stationary, books, notebooks, rings, little gems, clothing and the list goes on.

Blu-Tack - Perfect for sticking down things that are going to roll around such as lipsticks of stationary.

Natural Lighting - Natural Lighting is an essential if you use artificial lighting it makes your picture look really yellow, I have defiantly learnt that when I first started.

Editing - I think editing is how your pictures really look amazing but don't do it too much especially if you are doing a makeup post as the colours change. Also if you have a iPhone use the editing section in photos and also use Snapseed it is amazing!

So that is my tips for blog photography, let me know yours because I defiantly want to improve.
