All Things Ellie

As today is Christmas Eve Eve, I thought I would show you the makeup, hair and outfit I will be wearing on Christmas Day.

Makeup
Starting with the face makeup I'm applying the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and adding some Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer anywhere I need it. I then set that in place with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and contour with the Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit as always. For blush I'm using the Bourjois blush in Rose PomPom and then highlighting with Benefit Dandelion Twinkle from the Hello SanfrancisGLOW set (review).

Moving on to eyebrows I'm using the Freedom Duo Brow Powder to fill them in and then setting them in place with the Essence Brow Gel. For the eyes I'm using my Zoeva Cocoa Blends Palette that I got for my birthday. I start by blending 'Substitute For Love' in the crease and then applying a bit of 'Beans Are White' in my outer corner. And finally adding 'Pure Ganache' across the middle of the lid. For mascara I'm using my Clinique High Impact Mascara. Finally on the lips I'm applying a Peach Oil Lipgloss that my friend got me for Christmas.

Hair
For hair I'm going to use my Braun Hair straighteners, which I love, to straighten my hair. And that's about it for the hair. I have it in my normal middle parting. Kind of boring really.

Outfit
Lastly is the outfit, for my top I'm going to be wearing a Pretty Little Thing t-shirt that I'm hoping to get for Christmas, otherwise I'll wear this white top which I have tucked into this Burgundy skirt that I bought from Primark. For accessories on my hands I'm wearing my Pandora Heart Ring and my Topshop Elephant ring which I wear all the time. And for earrings I'm wearing some Primark hoops and I can't change my seconds as I've only just got them pierced.

So that is my makeup, hair and outfit for Christmas. What are you planning on wearing? Merry Christmas!

For Christmas Benefit brought out a range of gift sets and one of my friends got me the Hello FrancisGLOW set for my birthday. As you can tell by the 'glow' in the name this is a highlighter set.

The packaging for this is so pretty with the pink and yellow skyline effect at the top and the pattern that is on the inside and around the sides. Inside the set you get four of the Benefit best sellers which includes one powder, one cream and two liquid. It also has a mini brush that comes with most of the powder products. However the powder is stuck into the set which means you can't travel with it without taking the whole set.

The first highlight is the Dandelion Twinkle highlighter. This has recently been added to the permanent-collection along with Shy Beam which is also included in this. Dandelion Twinkle is a light beige coloured highlight and the powder of the set. It is quite a subtle highlight but once you build it up it does give a beautiful glow. As I mentioned before there is Dandelion Shy Beam, this is a very natural highlight. I would say this would be nice if you don't like a shimmery highlight and want to look glowy. The next liquid highlight in this set is High Beam, which is defiantly one of the most popular highlighters from Benefit. This is a really pretty pearly pink colour and even though I prefer more gold coloured ones this is stunning and looks super nice on your cheek bones. Lastly is the Watt's Up! highlighter, this is the cream of the set which I actually really like. It is a similar colour to Dandelion Twinkle which I love and blends out really nicely.

Overall I think this set is so good and I really like all the products included. Have you tried any Benefit highlighters?

For my birthday my Mum surprised me early with some tickets to go and see Little Mix as one of my presents. I have loved Little Mix since they started X Factor and went to see their DNA concert a few years ago, which was amazing so I was really excited to see them again.

So on Saturday I went up to London and I took one of my best friends with me. We both had the best time, Little Mix were incredible.

We got to London at about 3 o'clock so that we could look around a bit. We had dinner at Pizza Hut (it was so good) and then we got the tube to the O2. I got a programme from their merch stand and then headed to our seats.

Their support act was Aleem who sang for about half an hour. I had never heard of him before but he was actually really good.

Little Mix came on to Power which was amazing! Later into the concert they all walked along this T-shaped stage that came through the audience and sang Secret Love Song and they also put the audience on the big screen. Before the last song they got four people from the audience to come on the stage to sing Touch with them and then went on to just sing it themselves.

Overall I had the best time seeing Little Mix, they were so good and I loved going to see them. Have you seen anyone recently?
also sorry I haven't blogged in a while I just haven't felt like it and also I changed my blog name, do  you like it better?

As Halloween is nearly here I thought I would show you a vampy dark makeup look. You could wear this to makeup not just as Halloween as it's just a smoky makeup look. All the products included in this post will also all be drugstore so everything is really affordable.

Face
For foundation I'm using L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation. I'm putting this all over my face to give a even skin tone. To cover up anything else I'm using the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer, I apply this under my eyes and on any other imperfections I have. To bronze up my face I'm using the SEVENTEEN Define & Conquer Kit and then adding some Sleek Rose gold Blush to my cheeks. For highlight I'm taking the Lottie London Shimmer Squad and I'm using colour The Queen Bee on the high points of my face. And then I'm using the Freedom Duo Brow Powder in Medium Brown to fill in my eyebrows.

 Eyes
For the eyeshadow I'm going to use my SophDoesNails x Makeup Revelution palette which I have done a review on and I love it. First I'm going to use the shade Rosewood which is a dark purply-toned brown in the crease and then Nightmare in the lower outer corner to deepen it. In the middle of the lid I'm using the colour Smoky Bronze which is a bronze shimmer colour and lastly I'm putting Fairy Lights in the inner corner. To darken up the look even more I'm going to use a black pencil in my waterline. For mascara I'm using the Clinique Mascara. This mascara is amazing, it gives lots of volume and isn't clumpy at all.

Lips
As this is a dark vampy makeup look you could use a dark colour on your lips but you could use something like Rimmel 103 if you prefer a nude colour.

A few weeks ago SophDoesNails released a eye shadow palette with Makeup Revolution. Sophie is one of my favourite YouTubers and I knew that this palette would be incredible. The packaging is watercolour with bits of copper on which looks really pretty. The actual palette is a nude colour with copper writing on. In this palette you get 24 eye shadow colours, 13 mattes and 11 shimmers, which I think is amazing considering this palette is only £10. She also brought out a highlighter palette for £8 alongside this which I think looks gorgeous as well.

When you open this palette there is a big mirror which is really good because I tend to use the mirrors in palettes a lot. And a clear sheet with all the names on, I really like the names in this palette because they do describe the colour and they are all things she likes. These eye shadows are really pigmented and blend really nicely. The colours go with one another and this palette covers a lot of eye shadow looks. I think this palette would be amazing if you were starting out with makeup because of the range of colours and I would defiantly recommend it.

I think this palette overall is incredible especially for its price, the colours are beautiful and there are colours for everyone. Have you tried this palette?

September has now gone which means it is time for a favourites post. For me last month went so quickly and I haven't blogged as much I would like because of going back to school. However I have found a few things that I have really enjoyed over the past month.

Beauty
I have only got one beauty favourite for this month and its the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer. I mentioned this in my First Impression post at the start of the month and since then I have used it nearly everyday. It's good coverage, it blends easily and its not pink toned, basically my perfect concealer.

Music
There have been a few songs that I have been obsessed with in September, the first being Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift. This song came out at the end of August and since then I have been loving it. I know a lot of people don't like it but personally I think its so catchy and I now know all the words.

The second song is another Taylor Swift one and it is ...Ready For It? Again really catchy and a little more upbeat than LWYMMD. I haven't listened to this one as much but I still really love it.

Lastly is Havana by Camilla Cabello, I really like this song, its so catchy and I really like the chorus of it. I like Camilla's other songs but this is defiantly my favourite.
Youtube
The are two Youtubers that I have been loving recently the first one is Hello October, I love all of Suzie video they are all defiantly the type of videos I enjoy watching. I like her What I Wore In A Week Videos, her vlogs and her hauls especially and her instagram is so nice as well.

ICovetThee is the second Youtuber I been loving. Again love all of her videos and she does similar videos to Suzie and I just love watching her hauls and vlogs also. I also love that her videos aren't all fast edited videos and are a bit more unedited and cosy.

That is everything I have loved last month, what have you been loving?

I have been really liking how I've started editing my blog post photos recently so I thought I would show you what I have been doing recently and what apps I use to edit them.

First you have to take the photo. Use different props, change the picture until your happy with it. I use natural lighting to take all of my blog pictures and you can really see the difference when you use artificial lighting, it's very yellow.
Once you have taken the photo and you are happy with is I use the app VSCO to add some brightness, but make sure you don't over edit especially if your doing a makeup blog post because the colours can look completely different to what the actually are.
I then use Snapseed where I use the selective tool where you can select area and edit just that area. I use this app all the time to brighten the darker areas and shadows.
If I am using a font I use the app Phonto or PicMonkey and get download fonts from DaFont. In this picture I used Hard Candy.
That is how I have been editing my blog post photos recently, what apps do you use to edits yours?

As it is now so close to Autumn I have been seeing some clothes that I would love to buy and where in these next few months, so I thought I would make a wish list of everything I have seen recently.

New Look:
The first thing from New Look are these dark blue skinny high-wasted jeans. I don't actually have any dark blue jeans, I have light blue and black but no dark blue and I really like these ones. I also like how these are high-wasted but they only have one button.

Secondly, is this cropped khaki sweatshirt. I really like the colour of this sweatshirt and I also like that its cropped because its different from the normal lengthened sweatshirt. I think this would look really nice with most things.

Last from New Look is a scarf, this is a dark blue, black and red check scarf with fringing at the bottom of each end. I like the colours in this scarf and it looks really big.

Topshop:

I saw some really nice t-shirts in Topshop recently. The first one is by the brand Tee & Cake, this is a high-necked, light pink t-shirt with Uh Huh Honey embroided in white. I really like the colour of this and I like the slogan on it also, I think it's simple but nice.

Next is this Amour t-shirt, I have seen a lot of t-shirts like this recently and I really like this one. Its a plain white t-shirt with Amour written across with three stripes on and some more writing around that. It adds a bit more to a normal plain white t-shirt.

This last thing is this black and white striped t-shirt with three roses across the middle and No Romance written above the flowers. I really like the stripes as they are simple but different to a plain t-shirt and I wear a lot of t-shirts with stripes on. The roses add a extra detail instead of just saying No Romance.

What have you seen recently?

Recently there has been a 3 for 2 deal on at Superdrug so I thought I would pick some things up and so a first impressions of them.

The first thing I picked up is the Collection Speedy Highlighter. I have wanted to try a stick highlighter for a while now and when I swatched it in Superdrug it looked really pretty. It is a pink-y champagne colour and has a lovely sheen to it and also it is very buildable, you could have a natural glow or more of a blinding highlight.

Next I got the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer. This concealer is one of the things I have wanted to try for ages. Unlike the Collection Lasting Perfection in 2 which is quite pink toned this one is more yellow toned which I really like. This has really good coverage and blends really easily.

Lastly is the Freedom Duo Brow Powder in Medium Brown. I think this is really good! The two shades both work really well for my brows. You can blend out any of the harsh lines really easily if you don't want the line under brow and you can build the powders easily. And for £3 this is amazing.

Overall I really like all of these products I have picked recently, especially the concealer. Do you like any of these products?

As it is nearly time to go back to school I thought I would show you everything that I will be taking in my school bag. Firstly my bag is from Bershka and I love it. It's a plain black bag and all of the detailing is gold. They had a few different colours on the website but I decided to for the black as it was my favourite.

Inside the bag there are small pockets on either side and in there I keep some tissues, lipbalm because my lips can get very dry and a hair bobble just in case I need to put my hair up. I also have other things in there like my phone. In the main part of my bag where I will be keeping my lunch box and water bottle, I also have my pencil case. This one is from WHSmith's and it is pink with white flowers on also the zip is rose gold. Inside my pencil case I have some highlighters, there are five of them. Next I have some pens, I got these ones as they are really nice to write with. And then I just have a few other things like pencils, a ruler, a rubber and coloured pens.

What year are you going into next year?
