All Things Ellie

As Christmas is tomorrow, which I still can't believe how fast this month has gone! I thought I would do 'The Christmas Tag'. I have seen this going around and have wanted to do it for quite a while, so what better time to do it than Christmas Eve!

In this tag, there are 10 questions which I'm going to answer for you today.

1. Ever had a White Christmas?

Yes, but it was years ago and I was quite young. I really want it to snow!

2. Christmas song that you could listen to on repeat?
Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin Stevens because it's my favourite Christmas song also all the songs that I mentioned in my 'Top 10 Favourite Christmas Songs' blog post.

3. What's your outfit for Christmas this year?
I don't really know yet, but I might wear a Christmas jumper.

4. Does your Christmas tree have a theme?
Yes, this year we went for red and silver. And I think it looks amazing.

5. Christmas film of choice?
Probably the Grinch or Arthur Christmas just because I can never get bored of them! I did do a post on my 'Top 5 Christmas Films'.

6. What Advent Calendar do you have?
I have a Cadbury's one because I love Cadbury's chocolate so much!

7. Have you bought all your Christmas presents yet?
I have, seen as it's Christmas Eve I would of thought so.

8. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
No, we open all our presents on Christmas Day, but I do open some Christmas presents before Christmas like my friends from school and family friends.

9. How much effort do you put into wrapping?
I actually really enjoy wrapping Christmas presents, it gets me so excited to give people their presents. So I guess I do put in effort, I try to make them looks really nice.

10. What are you looking forward to this Christmas?
Giving everyone their presents but I love everything about Christmas Day!

So that is the Christmas Tag. I would love to know you answers to the questions. Also thank you so much for 60+ followers on Bloglovin'. Merry Christmas!

Today, I am going to be showing the products I will use on Christmas day. As Christmas is so close now.
First of all I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. I really like this concealer, but it's got quite a sparkly finish. Next I powder my face with Rimmel Stay Matte, I think drugstore powders have been pushed to the side so much but I love this one! Thirdly I apply a little bit of contour using the Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit. Then I use Sleek Rosegold blush, this blush I beautiful. It's pink with a iridescent gold shimmer. Lastly I highlight with the Seventeen Pink Bronze Highlighter, this is a brick highlighter and all together they look so nice.
For the eyes, I'm using my Urban Decay Naked Basics eye shadow palette. I use the colours Venus, W.O.S, Naked 2 and Faint. All these together look amazing on your eye lids. Then for my eyelashes, I'm using Maybelline Lash Sensational which is one of my favourite mascaras, it's incredible!
Lastly, the lips. I have been using the Kylie Jenner Birthday Edition Mini Matte in Exposed. This colour is beautiful. It's a lovely light pinky nude, a colour that I have been loving at the moment!

That is what I am wearing on my face on Christmas day. What are you wearing?

Todays post is going to be about my Top 5 Christmas Films. I love Christmas Films and there are some incredible ones out there. Also todays post is a collab with Erin from Everything Erin, you should defiantly go and read her posts they are amazing!

Arthur Christmas - This film is about Santa who is called Malcom and his two sons Steve and Arthur. Malcom goes around delivering the presents with his elves but one child is missed, so Arthur does all he can to make sure that child gets the present. I love this film, I think it is so believable because of how he delivers all the presents and how he would do it in one night. If I had watched this when I started to think about how Santa done it, I would of totally believed it.

Elf - Elf is about Buddy who came to the North Pole after crawling into Santa's sack. He gets taken back to the North Pole by accident and he gets raised there thinking he's an elf. After finding out that he's not he goes back to New York to find his Dad but of course he has some rough times along the way. This film is so enjoyable and has some really funny parts in it.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas - This one is on The Grinch who tries to ruin Christmas for all the people in Whoville. Mary Loo tries to help The Grinch like Christmas but he makes it hard for her to help. I really like this it's really funny and different to a normal Christmas film.

Home Alone - A classic Christmas film, if you don't know what this is about, its on a boy, Kevin who gets left behind when his parent go on holiday. While they are away two men try to burglar his home. Kevin does all he can to stop them from getting in. I think you've all watched this film before at least once. It is so funny as what Kevin does to the burglars.

Deck The Halls - This one is not spoken about that much but it's one of the first I ever watched. It's about two men arguing over who's 'The Christmas Man' and Christmas lights. This film is funny and how they fight and what they do to win.

As you probably know Zoe Sugg released a new book, Girl Online Going Solo a few weeks ago. So when I received this on my birthday and to see it was signed as I pre-ordered it, I was so excited to read it.

I knew this book was going to me incredible as I loved the other two. If you haven't read any of these you are missing out and are defiantly worth put them on your Christmas list.

If you aren't familiar of the 'Girl Online' series then it's basically about a teenage girl called Penny who suffers with anxiety and you see her meet Noah and what happens between them.

Girl Online Going Solo is around Penny trying to figure out herself while helping friends. I absolutely love this book just because its got so much drama and you just want to know what's going to happen next, there's always something going on which I love!

I also love the front cover of these books and they look so pretty all lined up next to each other on my shelf. I love the orange with the dark pink writing also the emerald green on the inside looks so nice! I also really like how the pictures on the front represent well with what the books about.

I really hope Zoe brings another book out next year to add to the series because I have read the other ones more times I have with any book because they are amazing.

As December has now began it's time for the Christmassy posts. On this blog I will be posting every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday up to Christmas! But first I'm going to tell you about my November Favourites. I haven't done a favourites in a while so I thought I would today.

My first favourite is my new favourite mascara - Maybelline Lash Sensational. This is amazing! I absolutely love this mascara, it does everything you could want in a mascara. You probably know this was extremely hyped up and I've wanted it for a little while and I can defiantly see why everyone was talking about it!

Next is two YouTubers. The first I really got into this month and its Emily Canham. I love her videos, I could just sit and watch both these YouTubers for ages. The second is Gabriella Lindley, I have been watching Gabbie for quite a while but recently I have been really enjoying her. And her vlogs are just the funniest!

Two music favourite are Jess Glynne, as you probably know if you read my last post I went to see Jess Glynne and she was fantastic! Secondly is This Town by Niall Horan, this song is so good, I don't really know what else to say about it!

My last favourite is I'm A Celeb. I do love this show and I love Scarlett she's so flipping funny but of course you always get the annoying ones but it's just so good and if your not watching it, you need to!

On Friday 18th of November I went to see Jess Glynne on her first day of her tour. I went with my Mum, my Mum's friend and my friend Lauren.

The opening act was Raye, I had never heard of her before but she was so good. When she finished her performance there was about half an hour between until Jess Gylnne came on.

When she sang 'Take Me Home' everyone turned on their phone torches and the arena looked so pretty.

The last song she sang everyone stood up and sang. It was such a good concert I loved it, it was incredible!
Have you been to any concerts recently?

Fashion has been something that I have wanted to do more of on my blog. So today I'm going to show you a outfit I have put together. It's quite simple but so comfy.
I  got this blue turtle neck jumper from Zara last year and I love it, I then paired it with some black jeans and a scarf which I have been wearing a lot but I would love another one. For the shoes I have been mostly wearing my Adidas Superstars but I sometimes wear these brown ankle boots which I have no idea where they are from.

 Jumper - Zara
Jeans - Similar
Scarf - New Look
Boots - Similar

I have tried a few of Tanya's products and when I heard she was bringing out lipsticks I knew I had to try them.

The packaging is stunning, I really like how it's square unlike most lipstick and the gold looks amazing. I think the packaging makes it look more expensive or more high end.

The colour that I chose was Pink Cocoa, which is a gorgeous pink nude. It's such a wearable shade and looks and feels nice on. The formula is a normal creamy one, even though I'm more into matte lip at the moment this has great staying power for a cream lipstick! The pigmentation is also incredible.

*Swatch of Pink Cocoa*

I also love the names of her lipstick collection. Alongside Pink Cocoa she also has - Big Kiss a dark red, Central Park a bright pink, Wild Safari a bright orangey coral, Happily Ever After a baby pink and Birthday Cake a light pink.

This collection is beautiful and I cant wait to see what other lipsticks she'll bring out!

The other day I went to a pick your own pumpkin farm. And there were loads of pumpkins. Most years we just go and buy a pumpkin from the supermarket but it was so good to go and pick you own perfect pumpkin!

These where the pumpkins we picked and they are massive. They had wheelbarrows to carry you pumpkins in, which we all loved pushing each other in on the walk to the fields. (Mines the one in the top right)
And these are the finished pumpkins, mine is on the right and my brothers is on the left. I love going to pick my own pumpkins its so fun! So go and find a pick your own pumpkin farm nearby and go find a pumpkin.

What are you dressing up as for Halloween? I'm going as a zombie schoolgirl.

I have decided to do a post on my Autumn Essentials. Autumn is the perfect time to pull out the fluffy socks and get snuggled on the sofa watching a movie. It also means you can grab the warm coats and the cosy scrafes that have been pushed to the back of the wardrobe.
Around this time of year I love getting the amazing candles out, Red Apple Wreath I must say smells incredible, it basically smells of everything great! Also baths around this year are just the best. And the Lush Bath Bombs this Autumn are amazing!
Lips! I must say I'm not the biggest dark lips fan but I added a berry and a dark red shade in anyway. But the ones I have been reaching for the most have been Rimmel 03 this is a really pretty peachy pink and I love it, it's so pretty. Another favourite is the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams, I think you've already heard everyone raving about these because they are so good. I have mine in Abu Dhabi which is a brown toned nude. Last but not least is my Revlon Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick which is also incredible. For nails I have this dark red nail vanish that my friend gave me last year for my birthday from New Look.

For my eyes I have been obsessed with gold's. I think they look amazing any time of the year but now I love them even more. At the moment I have been using Tanya Burr's Hollywood Eye Shadow Palette. Which is perfect for a beautiful eye.

What are you Autumn Essentials?

Autumn is my favourite season for many reasons. I just love the beautiful colours and getting the cosy jumpers out. And because I love Autumn I thought I would share with you my favourite things through the best season!

Cosy Jumpers - I love putting on warm jumpers and Autumn is the perfect time of year for that.

Halloween - Halloween is only a few weeks away and I can't wait!

Autumn Leaves - Who doesn't love the grass covered in every Autumn colour.

Autumn Makeup - Even though I don't really wear berry lips, I do love wearing gold on my eyes.

Scarfs - I love wrapping up in a warm flannel scarf.

Fluffy Socks - On those colder nights, I love slipping on some fluffy socks.

Christmas Is Coming - The most wonderful time of the year!

Bonfire Night - For those of you who don't know what this is, it's a night on the 5th of November when loads of Fireworks go off. It's so nice going down with my family and watching Fireworks take over the sky.

Candles - Who doesn't want their room smelling AMAZING!

And that is why I love Autumn SO much.

What's your favourite season?

I feel like this year has whizzed past and its now nearly Halloween. Last month I didn't really enjoy that much so I thought I would incorporate them in this.

The first thing is the Seventeen Easy On The Eye in Birthday Suit which I done a review on a few weeks back. This palette is stunning it is a really wearable palette and I just love it so much.

Next is Sleek Rose Gold blush. This is so pretty it is a beautiful pink with a iridescent gold in it. It looks so nice on the cheeks!

Last beauty item is this Revlon Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick. This is amazing, I don't find it too drying and it lasts for a really long time. I have it in a really pretty nude pink.

A clothing item is my New Look bomber jacket which I mentioned in a haul a few weeks ago and since then I have been obsessed.

Last thing is the song Closer by The Chainsmokers. This is SO catchy, all of my friends are
singing it and its a really good song.

What did you enjoy last month?

I have been wanting to buy a Nyx product for a while and when I found a counter in a Boots I was very happy! After browsing the Nyx counter I picked out two shades of Soft Matte Lip Creams 'Abu Dhabi' and 'Cannes'.

First of all I really like the packaging, its feels a lot nicer than thought. I also love that the lids are matte. The Lip Creams are £5.50 which I think is so good!

The Lip Creams feel so lovely on the lips and not very drying which is great. The colours are gorgeous and looks so amazing. When they go matte on your lips they don't go patchy at all. They also last a really long time through eating and drinking! I defiantly need to pick up more.
The colours I selected are both nudes. 'Abu Dhabi' is a brown toned nude which I really like at the moment whereas Cannes is a lot more pink toned which is also stunning. I think these lip colours are so nice!

What colours are your favourite?

There are so many beauty products that I would love to have. So today I put together a list of some of the things that really catch my eye...

Mac Velvet Teddy - This lipstick is gorgeous and it doesn't help lots of bloggers raving about it. It is a beautiful nude brown which is so different to anything I own.

The Naked Palettes - The Naked Palettes are stunning! My friend recently got the Naked 3 for her birthday and it looks insane. They have a range of gorgeous colours that are incredible pigmented. The Naked original looks amazing also.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams - I really want to try these out but whenever I've gone into a Boots they never have a Nyx counter. These lip creams look so nice and I'm defiantly going to keep looking for these.

Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights and Contour Palette - This palette seems so nice, I love the colours in this palette, especially the contouring shades, they look incredible.

Benefit Hoola - Benefit Hoola is such a lovely matte bronzer that I would love to try. The shade is pretty and looks great when I see people wearing it.

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer - This highlight looks amazing, I've seen so many YouTubers and bloggers raving about this and I can defiantly see why, it is stunning!

What has caught your eye recently?

As I have been really loving this palette recently I thought I would review it for you. This is the Seventeen Easy On The Eye palette in Birthday Suit.

It costs around £5 which is amazing for 12 beautiful eye shadows. In this it has a eye primer, three cream and then a mixture of matte and shimmer eye shadows.
LEFT TO RIGHT:
TOP LINE: Gentle Pink, Sun Kissed Peach, Cool Rose, Toasted Almond, Bronzed Buff and Pink Flush
BOTTOM LINE: Warm Ivory, Radiant Gold, Warm Mink, Baked Chestnut, Burnt Copper and the Eye Primer.

This palette is quite pink apart from a few which I really like. I have been using Sun Kissed Peach all over my lid, then adding Toasted Almond which is my favourite shade from this palette in the crease and then if I want I will add a tad of Bake Chestnut in my very corner.

The creams in this are so nice, I have been using them quite a bit. My favourite out of the creams has to be Bronzed Buff but I do love the others.

Another thing I like is the packaging its so simple but I really like it.

If any of you have this palette which is your favourite shade?

For my Summer holiday me and my family went to Spain for a few weeks and while we were there I took a few pictures. I love Spain because it stores so many memories for me and my family as we have been most years since I was allowed to go on a plane. We went to beautiful beaches and ate lots of frozen yoghurt which by the way if you haven't tried your seriously missing out!

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen some of these pictures. The photos of the animals are from when we went to a small parrot zoo, it had butterflies, kangaroos and tortoises and of course lots of parrots. And if you went on holiday this year where did you go to or where are you going to?
